Why do most Spec. Ops train with full auto while regular infantry units train to do accurate single shots?

In most interviews and documantaries I see, special ops such as the SAS state that they train with full auto and 5 to 10 shot bursts. Is this more effective or is it just because there is going to be less of them than there would be marines and they need to be more lethal?
